Textus is a Markdown editor for macOS, Windows, Linux, iPhone and iPad, made by CatVinci Studio. In short: Textus does not collect, store or share any of your data.
Your documents
Your documents stay where you keep them: on your device, or in a storage service you choose (such as iCloud Drive). Textus has no servers and no account system, and never uploads your documents anywhere.
AI features
AI features are optional and off until you connect a provider yourself (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or a local model such as Ollama). When you use them, the text needed for the request is sent directly from your device to that provider, under that provider's own privacy policy. It never passes through CatVinci Studio. Your API keys and sign-ins are stored only on your device, readable by Textus alone.
Analytics, tracking and ads
Textus contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
Updates
On macOS, Windows and Linux, Textus checks GitHub for new versions. That request contains no personal data. On iPhone and iPad, updates come through the App Store.
Children
Textus does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
